The rumors of the new flagship SUV date back to four years ago. It was confirmed by Oliver Zipse, BMW chairman. According to the report, the new flagship model will be made at Spartanburg and unveiled by the end of this year. It’s a fun fact that models such as the X3, X6, and X7 are all made in the same plant, complete with their M versions.
This new rendering shows a unique design that will set the 2024 BMW X8 apart from other models. It has new split LED headlights and a polarizing appearance. The styling is similar to the BMW iX.

We have seen the new 2024 BMW X8 recently tested, and now we can see its renderings. The X8 is shorter than its sibling, BMW X7.
It has a more aggressive style thanks to its massive grille treatment, slimmer-styled taillights and headlights. It features 21-inch wheels and a quad exhaust system.
The 2024 BMW X8 will feature the same luxurious cabin as the iX model. There should be plenty of space through the two rows. Many believe the manufacturer will move the second row further back to increase legroom. The X8 will be a flagship, sharing many design cues and features with the 7 Series, one of the most complete sedans on sale.
It will still have some unique features, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be able to take them with it. We expect that the new model will feature many driver-assist features as well as a great package of standard safety features.
2024 BMW X8 Engine
We don’t yet know the exact engine that will power the 2024 BMW X8. There are many theories right now. We are predicting a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 and plug in hybrid system. This engine will also power the upcoming BMW XM.
Many rumors suggest that this engine will produce 750 horsepower. A 3.0 Liter turbo straight-six will be the entry engine with around 380 horsepower. BMW will likely use the ZF eight-speed automatic transmission that is standard on all BMWs. AWD is more common than smaller SUVs.
2024 BMW X8 Release Date And Price
The new 2024 BMW X8 is a lot more aggressive than the BMW iX. It is the upcoming flagship and dominates the front with a large eye-catchy grille, stylish headlights, and a striking grille. The price is hard to determine, considering that the X8 is still very much in its early stages of development.
We expect the new model will be available later in the year, and sales could begin in the second half of 2024.
